When you receive a single use license from one of the GIS coordinators, do the following to authenticate the license for your ArcGIS Desktop installation.

1. Save the license file to your local disk.
2. Double click the file to start the authentication.
3. Accept all default settings and enter your personal information.
4. When the authentication is completed start ArcGIS Administrator.
5. If your license is set to Advanced (ArcInfo) Concurrent Use, change it to Advanced (ArcInfo) Single Use and click Apply.
   
   
6. Verify that the licenses are available.
   
7. Click OK
